Editing channel details
Your channel listing — its name, description, photo, category, keywords, ad prices and audience info — is not set in stone. This page covers when you can change it, exactly what you can change, and what happens after you do.
When editing is open — and when it is locked
Editing depends entirely on your channel's status (the pill next to it in My channels):
| Status | Editing | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Open | The listing is yours to shape until you submit it |
| Needs changes | Open | A reviewer sent it back — fix it and resubmit |
| Pending review | Locked | Reviewers must see a stable listing while they decide |
| Approved | Locked | What is live in the network is exactly what was approved |
While locked, any attempt to change details, upload or remove the photo shows: "This channel is locked while it's under review." There is no way around the lock — it protects both you and advertisers from a listing changing under review or after approval.
Approved listings stay locked. If something about your live channel genuinely must change, contact support from https://onflowads.com/contact — or delete the channel and re-add it, which starts verification and review again from scratch.
How to edit
- Open https://onflowads.com/telegram/dashboard and find the channel in My channels.
- Click Set up on its row. This opens the same three-step wizard you used to create the listing — Details, Pricing, Audience — pre-filled with everything you saved before.
- Change what you need, then click Continue to move through the steps. Each click of Continue saves that step — you will see a brief Saved ✓ confirmation next to the buttons.
- You can leave at any point; your changes up to the last Continue are kept.
The right-hand rail shows a live preview card of your listing and the Listing completeness meter, both updating as you type.
What you can change
Everything you set in the wizard is editable while the listing is open:
- Channel photo — Upload image (JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 2 MB) or Remove to clear it. Removing clears the photo entirely — it will not silently revert to the old Telegram picture.
- Channel name — required, up to 200 characters.
- Description — up to 1,000 characters.
- Category and Primary language — pick from the lists.
- Keywords — up to 3 chips; add with Enter, remove with the button on each chip.
- Ad placement prices — the required 1-day placement (minimum $1), any optional 2–7 day placements with their pin hours (a pin can never be longer than the stay), and the optional repeat-order discount (up to 90%).
- Audience gender split — the slider; the two sides always total 100%.
- Source of subscribers — required, up to 2,000 characters.
What you cannot change
- The channel itself. The
@username/ link is fixed when you add the channel. If you renamed your channel's handle on Telegram, delete the listing and add it again under the new handle. - The photo by URL. The photo comes from Telegram automatically or from your own upload — there is no way to point the listing at an external image address.
- Live Telegram stats. Subscriber counts and average views are pulled from Telegram, not typed in.
What happens after you edit
The outcome depends on the status you were in:
- Draft — your changes are simply saved. Nothing is public yet; the listing only enters the marketplace after you click Submit for review and it is approved.
- Needs changes — editing is how you answer the reviewer. The note explaining what to fix appears at the top of the wizard ("Changes requested: …"). Make the fixes, then click Submit for review on the last step:
- the old reviewer note is cleared,
- your channel re-enters the moderation queue as Pending review with a clean slate,
- the listing locks again until the new decision,
- you get a confirmation email that it was submitted.
Submitting also re-runs channel verification — our bot must still be an administrator of your channel with the Post Messages right.
Saving edits on a Needs changes channel does not resubmit it by itself. Until you click Submit for review, the channel stays in "Needs changes" and reviewers will not look at it again.
FAQ
I clicked Set up but got a read-only "Under review" panel
That is the lock: your channel is Pending review (or already Approved). The panel shows the current status — "Your channel is in the moderation queue. We'll email you the moment it's approved." — and, if a reviewer left one, their note. You will be able to edit again only if the review comes back as Needs changes.
My photo upload fails
Check the file is a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF and 2 MB or smaller — oversized files are rejected with "That image is over the 2 MB limit." Compress the image and try again.
Do my edits change what advertisers currently see?
Only an Approved listing is visible in the network, and approved listings are locked — so no edit can ever change a live listing silently. Advertisers always see exactly what passed review.
