Starting the Bot
Pressing Start in the Onflow Ads bot chat is the single action that turns Telegram into a working part of your Onflow Ads account. It takes one tap, you only ever need to do it once, and everything the bot does for you afterwards depends on it.
This page covers that first tap on its own: how to reach the right bot, what you will see, what changes the moment you press Start, and what it deliberately does not do.
"The bot" is the Onflow Ads account inside Telegram that publishes your campaign posts, counts the taps on them, and sends you direct messages when something happens. It is not a separate product — it is the Onflow Ads website working inside Telegram.
Why you need to start it
Telegram has a firm rule: a bot may not send a direct message to a person who has never opened a chat with it. Until you press Start, Onflow Ads simply has no channel to reach you on.
Starting the bot switches on four things at once:

How to open the right bot
Onflow Ads never asks you to search Telegram by hand, and you should not. Every entry point on the website carries the official link, so you always land on the genuine bot:
- From the sign-in page — Continue with Telegram at onflowads.com/signin opens the bot with a sign-in request attached. See Signing In with Telegram.
- From your account page — Connect Telegram on onflowads.com/account opens the bot with a connection link attached. See Connecting Your Telegram.
- From the Subscriber Exchange page — its own Connect Telegram button does the same thing in context.
- From any message the bot has already sent you — the chat is already open, so there is nothing to find.
Anyone can create a Telegram bot with a similar name and picture. Open the bot from a button on the Onflow Ads website, in your own browser. If a stranger sends you a link to "the Onflow Ads bot", ignore it.
Step by step
- Click one of the buttons above on the website. Telegram opens a chat with the Onflow Ads bot.
- Tap Start at the bottom of the chat. (If you have used the bot before, the Start button is not shown — the chat is already active, and the link works anyway.)
- Read what the bot replies. Which message you get depends on what the link was carrying:

- That is the whole flow. Leave the chat in place — it is now your notification inbox.
The redirect card, explained
If you simply open the bot and press Start without coming from a website button, the bot answers with a single card:
- Title: Onflow Ads Executor
- Body: "Everything — your account, channels, campaigns, wallet, orders and support — is managed on the website. This bot only runs your live campaigns inside Telegram and tracks their performance."
- Second line: "Add the bot as an admin to your channels from the website, and it takes care of the rest."
- Button: Open Onflow Ads, which takes you to your Onflow Ads dashboard.
You will see this same card whenever you send the bot any message at all. It is not an error — it is the bot telling you where the controls actually are. See Bot vs Website: Who Does What.
What starting the bot does not do
This is the most common misunderstanding, so it is worth stating plainly:
A bare Start only opens the chat. It does not tell Onflow Ads which website account belongs to you, so notifications still have nowhere to go.
To pair the two identities you must either open the bot from Connect Telegram on the Account page, or sign in through Continue with Telegram. Both are covered on their own pages: Signing In with Telegram and Connecting Your Telegram.
The bot also has no menus, no commands and no wizards. There is nothing to explore in the chat. Typing /help, /menu or anything else returns the same redirect card.
After you have started it
- The Open Site button sits permanently next to the message box. Tapping it opens your Onflow Ads launchpad inside Telegram as a Mini App, already signed in. See Using the Mini App.
- Messages the bot sends arrive in this chat, each with a button that opens the exact page it is about. See Notifications from the Bot.
- Nothing else is expected of you in the chat. The bot works in the background from here on.
Rules and edge cases
One Telegram account, one Onflow Ads account. The pairing is strictly one to one in both directions. A second Onflow Ads account cannot be attached to the same Telegram account.
Starting again is harmless. Pressing Start a second time, or opening the bot from a fresh link, never resets anything, never creates a duplicate account and never charges you.
If you blocked or deleted the chat. Telegram stops all delivery immediately, and Onflow Ads has no way to detect or override that. Unblock the bot and send /start once — the redirect card confirms the chat is live again, and your notifications resume. Your link, wallet, channels and history are untouched throughout.
Groups and channels. The bot is not designed to be chatted with in a group. It is added to your channels as an admin from the website when you enroll a channel, so it can publish and remove campaign posts. It does not read or reply in your channel.
Old buttons. Onflow Ads used to have a full chat interface inside the bot. If you scroll back far enough and tap one of those retired buttons, Telegram shows a pop-up reading "Manage everything at onflowads.com" instead of leaving you with a spinner. Nothing is broken — just use the website or the Mini App.
Premium styling. If you are on a paid plan, the bot's messages arrive with animated icons and styled buttons. On the free plan the same messages arrive in plain form. The content and the buttons are identical either way.
Short FAQ
Do I need a Telegram account to use Onflow Ads?
To sign in and browse, no — an email and password works. But the bot is what actually runs campaigns in Telegram channels and sends instant alerts, so almost everyone starts it.
The bot did not reply when I pressed Start.
Give it a moment, then send any message in the chat — the redirect card should appear. If nothing comes back at all, check that you have not blocked the bot, then try opening it again from the website button.
Can I mute the bot instead of blocking it?
Yes. Muting the chat in Telegram keeps delivery working while silencing the sound — much better than blocking, which stops delivery entirely. You can also turn off individual notification categories on the website; see Notifications from the Bot.
Do I have to keep the chat?
Yes, keep it. It is where your alerts land and where the Open Site button lives.
